The Florida CPM program was created in 1979 at Florida State University. The program is administered by the Florida Center for Public Management and enrolls public managers from state, county, and municipal governments throughout Florida.
The Chapter is composed of individuals who are currently students who have completed one CPM course level or graduates who have earned a Certificate in Supervisory Management (CSM) or their Certified Public Manager (CPM) designation. The FSCPM is affiliated with the American Academy of Certified Public Managers (AACPM).
The Florida Keys Chapter was founded in an effort to support the FSCPM and to provide continuing professional growth opportunities for its members. The Chapter also is included in the annual symposium in the Fall, an all day training event. Members have an opportunity to network with other professional managers, improve communication, cooperation and coordination among public entities, and foster leadership through example and innovation.
For members who want to stay active in the Society, Program Committees offer a variety of Chapter sponsored functions.
