The North Florida Chapter (NFCPM) of the
Florida Society of Certified Public Managers (FSCPM) is one of
seven regional chapters, representing public sector managers.
The Florida CPM program was created in
1979 at Florida State University. The program is administered
by the Florida Center for Public Management and enrolls public
managers from state, county and municipal governments
throughout Florida.
The Chapter is composed of individuals
who are currently students who have completed one CPM course
level or graduates who have earned a Certificate in
Supervisory Management (CSM) or their Certified Public Manager
(CPM) designation. The FSCPM is affiliated with the American
Academy of Certified Public Managers (AACPM).
The NFCPM was founded in 1990 in an
effort to support the FSCPM and to provide continuing
professional growth opportunities for its members. The NFCPM
presents monthly luncheons for its members and features
speakers who offer a variety of applicable management
subjects. Members have an opportunity to network with other
professional managers, improve communication, cooperation and
coordination among public entities and foster leadership
through example and innovation.
As shown below, nine committees are
available at the chapter level for members who want to be
active. The FSCPM also offers members an opportunity to stay
active at the state level through a variety of committees..
