FSCPM celebrates excellence each year by honoring some of its shining stars at a banquet luncheon at the annual symposium in January.

CPM of the Year Award

Florida’s highest honor and is presented to a Florida CPM member who has made the greatest contribution to the FSCPM. Nominees are evaluated on their career accomplishments, Society/Academy activities, innovations / contributions to management, leadership activities and community service.

2008 CPM of the Year: Ellen Daniel

The Henning Award

This award is the American Academy of Certified Public Managers’ (AACPM) highest honor. Each state who is a member of the AACPM is encouraged to submit a nomination for this award which is named for Kenneth K. Henning, recognized as the father of the Certified Public Manager Program. Although not a requirement, it is a good idea to nominate a member for the Henning Award who has been active in the American Academy of Certified Public Managers.

The Presidents Award

This award is presented to an FSCPM member(s) who is motivated by only those rewards as so intrinsically inspired. The Award is but a small expression of thanks and recognition for the very large contributions made to the entire FSCPM Team, and its organizational mission and goals.

The Outstanding Contribution Award

This award is given for commitment, dedication and exceptional service to the Chapter

South Florida Chapter recipients are: Betsy Jeffers, Dianna Heard and Steve Braun

The Extra Mile Award

This award is for willingness and strength of character to go above and beyond expectations to ensure the success of the chapter.

South Florida Chapter recipients are: Cassandra Johnson, Francis Lewis, Jeannette Harris and Jerry McCarthy

The Exceptional Leadership Award

This award is given to managers and leaders who provide outstanding leadership within the organization whether at the state or chapter level. This individual stays on top of things and is aware of what is happening within the organization and is always there to provide a guiding hand where needed. He or she encourages board members to excel.

These are awarded to individuals that have made a special contribution to their chapter or the society.
